What are the Tavs all about?

Toft Taverners (The Tavs) are a social cricket side whose principal purpose is to raise money and organise events for the charitable causes we support.

Our focus is on the elderly and more vulnerable members of Knutsford, and for many years now we have run over 70’s seaside trips, Christmas lunches and offered financial support to other town-based charities.

Cricketing Pedigree?

It’s fair to say that the Tavs ethos is more relaxed, our cricketing skills are at the lowest end of the competency and agility spectrum, but we offer an entertaining and inclusive experience for both our visiting teams and players alike.

The Taverners play every Thursday evening, starting at 6pm, at Toft from late April to early September. The games are all 20 over friendly matches against local companies and clubs who share our desire to put something back into the community in which we live.
