The 2026 outdoor season is here, and there has never been a better time for girls aged 12+ to get involved in cricket at Toft Cricket Club. Whether you're completely new to the sport or already love playing, our girls’ programme offers a welcoming, supportive environment where players of all ages and abilities can learn, improve and enjoy the game.

🎉 Women & Girls Launch Party

Friday 17 April | From 5:00pm

We’re kicking off the season with a fun, relaxed launch event for women and girls of all ages and abilities.

Come along to:

• Try cricket for the first time

• Meet our coaches and players

• Take part in fun games and activities

• Enjoy a welcoming, friendly atmosphere

No experience is needed — just bring enthusiasm and come and give cricket a go!

🏏 Weekly Girls Training

Our regular girls training begins the following week.

Start Date: Friday 24 April Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm

As the evenings get lighter, sessions will move to: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Training focuses on:

• Learning cricket skills

• Building confidence and teamwork

• Having fun while developing as players

All equipment is provided, so beginners are always welcome.

🏆 Girls League Cricket

In 2026 we are once again entering an Under 13 Softball Team in the Cheshire Girls League.

This provides:

• Friendly competitive matches

• Opportunities for players to develop their skills

• A great introduction to league cricket

  
  

Our aim is to continue growing girls’ cricket at Toft and offer opportunities for players to progress at their own pace.

⭐ Pathway to Hardball Cricket

While we haven’t entered a girls’ hardball team this season, we will fully support any girls who want to transition to hardball cricket and feel ready for the next step.

Our long-term vision for the girls’ section is to run:

• A younger softball team

• An older hardball team

  
  

This will ensure every player has the right environment to develop and enjoy the game.
