1st XI continue fantastic start
Toft made it 3 in 3 for league victories this weekend against Didsbury
On Saturday the 1st XI visited Didsbury, Toft looking to carry on their 100% league form. On a scorching day at Wilmslow Road Toft won the toss and opted to bowl.
From the onset Toft were on top taking wickets at regular intervals on a pitch offering a little for the seamers. 5 Didsbury players making starts but failing to go on. When Cheshire all-rounder Nick Anderson was ousted by Tom Forster (3-38) for 16 Didsbury were in trouble at 63-4. All this before Andrew Jackson removed 3 Didsbury batsmen in consecutive balls for hattrick in his fine spell of 4-25. Pete Talbot then cleaned up the tail with 2 wickets in his one over which left Didsbury all out for a below par 105.
Toft looked relatively solid in reply chasing down their victory target for the loss of 5 wickets. Rob Jones showing his experience to finish top scorer on 27 not out. Andrew Jackson completed a fine all-round performance with 23 not out from 20 balls.
The victory meaning a maximum of 75 points claimed from their first 3 games of the season with a visit to come from newly promoted Oulton Park this weekend.
