JUNIORS

Following a superb 2022 season, the Junior Toft Winter Nets programme has been invaluable in developing core skills for the spring/summer season ahead. This year the coaches have received fantastic support from the Senior Team, facilitated by club captain Phil Raikes. The Juniors have been inspired by the Senior Players and we are keen to develop this participation over the coming season to improve the transition from Junior to Senior teams.

Spring Junior training will commence at Toft again on Saturday 22nd April 2023 from 9.15-11.15am for U8’s – U13’s. U15’s training will begin on Friday 28th April 2023 from 6.30-8pm. Junior training sessions are open to girls and boys and we look forward to welcoming all players to the club.

We will also have plenty of on field action this year as we have entered teams from U9’s – U15’s into the CCCL and NCJCA leagues. Our home matches for U9’s and U11’s will be played on Monday evenings and away matches will be on other week nights depending on the club. U13’s and U15’s play most of their matches on a Sunday morning with some league matches playing midweek. All matches will be uploaded onto Pitchero.

Once again Toft has invested in ECB Foundation and Core coaching courses for our team over the winter and we are pleased to confirm Team Managers have been appointed for each of the age groups. The coaches will work through our Toft Junior coaching programmes and each manager will organise and oversee the games.

During the 2023 season Toft Juniors again hope to enjoy incredible support from parents and family members who provided excellent coaching, scoring and umpiring assistance last year. We really appreciate all the assistance which is crucial to the running of the Junior Section. We would encourage any parents who are interested In stepping over the rope to contact Ben Wilkinson to discuss this further.

It would be great to see as many family and friends as possible on match days to support the Junior Teams. The matches are great fun and played in a fantastic spirit.
